One day, while discussing the prophetic with Jesus and how to teach people to operate in it, Jesus shared a simple yet powerful mindset with Misty. The Bible says in Psalm 139:17-18 TPT, “Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! When I awake each morning, you’re still with me.” Some versions even say “your thoughts towards me…” How encouraging to know God’s thoughts about us outnumber the grains of sand on EVERY shore? That’s A LOT of thoughts!

If we can keep this in mind when we are operating in the prophetic, then it doesn’t have to be scary or intimidating! When we are standing in front of someone and asking Jesus what He wants to say to them, if we know and believe His thoughts about that person outnumber the grains of sand on every shore, then all we are asking Him for is just one grain of sand in that moment. We are only asking for one thought to share!

Our prayer at Just 1 Grain Ministries is to help launch you into the prophetic. As humans, we tend to make things much more complicated than they are. If you’re anything like me, you may have felt like the Spiritual gifts and the prophetic were only for “those special people” and not for you. In 1 Corinthians 14:1, Paul says, “Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.” This is for everyone and it really is simple. There is a world full of people that need to be strengthened, encouraged, and comforted. Let’s partner with Heaven and speak life over His children!
